Ergonomics, without the markup
The height of your desk is a fixed number. Your elbows want to sit at roughly ninety degrees, your eyes want the top of the screen at or just below their own level, and your wrists want to stay straight. Almost every complaint that starts as "my neck hurts by four o'clock" comes down to one of those three numbers being wrong by a few centimetres.
Deskt sells the hardware that fixes those centimetres: 29 products across risers and stands, seating, lighting and desk accessories. Nothing here is a cure or a treatment. A monitor arm is a bracket that holds a screen at the right height, and that is exactly as much as we will claim for it.
Numbers before opinions
We built a desk height calculator that takes your body height and tells you where your desk, seat and screen should actually sit, and a statistics page where every figure carries a link to its primary source, mostly EU-OSHA and Eurostat. Neither page sells anything. They exist because the honest answer to "which chair should I buy" often turns out to be "raise the screen you already own by eight centimetres".
The buying guides work the same way: measurements, adjustment ranges and the trade-offs, rather than adjectives. There are no star ratings on this site, because we have no genuine reviews yet and inventing them is where most shops in this category lose the plot.
Where the products come from
Stated plainly, since many shops our size avoid it. Deskt holds no warehouse stock. Your order goes to the supplier who makes and stores the product, and they ship directly to you with tracking, which is why delivery runs 8 to 15 days rather than overnight, and why the prices carry no warehouse rent or distributor margin.
You still deal only with us: our invoice, our returns desk, our warranty. Fourteen days to send anything back for any reason, two years of warranty after that, and every product photograph on the site is the supplier's own photograph of the actual item. (The images in our guides and news articles are licensed stock photography, and never stand in for a product.)
The company behind the shop
Deskt is a trading name of Botlease, a registered Dutch business. Chamber of Commerce number 95943420, VAT number NL005182627B44, printed in the footer of every page and in your order confirmation email, so you can verify us in the public Dutch register before ordering. Botlease also runs Pawkit (dog and cat gear) and Stowkit (home storage), which are separate shops in unrelated categories run by the same small company.
